MONDAY MUSING: COUCHSURFING AT HOME

One thing you may be surprised to hear is although we are not traveling, we still are participating in 'couchsurfing'. You might be too and not even realize it. Couchsurfing is happening in our very own homes by us, the owners.

As a result of all this home time, there is more couch time, especially this winter. Besides laptop computer time, we are Zooming for meetings, seeing family and even watching more Netflix movies and usually not from a desk/ table top.

 It's so obvious which seats are the most popular. Have you noticed yourself heading to the same spot to plotz/ are you switching up your seating? 

Natureman's favorite daytime spot used to be on the right end of this green couch but since I have had to move in from the porch for exercising, he has been displaced as this couch has the most space for exercising in front of it. Then, after exercise and breakfast,  I now plop on the left end. Natureman returns to it for afternoon naps. It's also known now as our Zooming couch.

For watching movies we have this unspoken rotation thing going on involving the couch, love seat and oversized chair in front of the TV.

The couch can be shared by both of us/just one/ none as we alternate. See the preferential is its right end with a permanent indentation.

 Or we both share the loveseat/ solo it...

OR...

one of us occupies the overstuffed chair pictured below...

The fact is all the pieces are getting more daily usage than ever before.  At the end of the day a lot more time is invested in puffing up those pillows and cushions. They never have ever had so much time spent using them.

One thing is for sure- all this couchsurfing means part of spring cleaning will definitely involve a deep cleaning. 

Who knew we'd all be 'couchsurfing' in our own homes from March 2020 to blank 2021?
