GLAD TO BE SPARED

Last week I snapped a pic of our sparse season's greetings door. In the following week, a couple more pieces of mail arrived but it was the sign of a nation who really couldn't embrace that holiday chore and besides what  news could outweigh all the negatives surrounding us?

Unfortunately, the U S Postal service's hands also were tied/ should we say missing sorting machines didn't help deliver our holiday mail in a timely fashion.  What a mess!

If I had written a seasonal letter, it would have been too truthful... And  since I do a 5 day/wk entries in my blog Life in the End of the Rainbow Valley, a Caring Bridge page and FB post pretty often, the need for a holiday letter seems pretty unnecessary for most on our address list.

Yes, not everybody does FB / the computer so intentions are to drop those folks who did send notes/cards the old fashioned hand written note as there certainly is time...

2020's memories have certainly been filled with more sadness than usual.  COVID19 is still wreaking havoc, filling hospital beds and morgues. And there was the screwed up political system which was way too busy trying to move us backwards in time.

But the arrival of the vaccine is providing that crucial glimmer of hope. An opportunity to regain our health and daily life as we once knew it.

Yet, I don't feel our nation will forget 2020 very quickly, do you?
