It's been nice to have had 6 weeks between infusions albeit there was a visit to the clinic to rehydrate in between with 2 liters of saline solution due to the oral med's side effects. Some days were very trying and Natureman went in to his consult ready to discuss the most recent research as to the efficacy of cutting the dosage.
Today was a long, long day with all of us leaving the house at 8:30 and returning home about 4... Long enough for us to get a new air exchanger. Really. Hopefully that circulating air will help alleviate some of the headaches, coughing and gravelly voice.
In the morning there were blood tests and imaging. (BTW across the hall from where vaccines are taking place. - Natureman's first vaccine date is February 15 and mine is March 3), a lunch break, returning for the consult and then the infusion.
So on to the consult ...
Up to Natureman regarding his decision re: quality of life whether to continue the chemo duo...
Blood pressure - good
Weight- no change
Lung spots : No new growth . YEA.
Kidney function - a concern as it fluctuates ( return visit to nephrologist this coming Monday)
Adrenal gland - thickening, possibly needing biopsy. This is disconcerting as the urologists opted a year ago during the operation to just remove the masses with the one kidney and adrenal gland and leave the questionable other adrenal gland.
Appointment made for another scan in 2 months...
So there you have it. Irv will have to consider when / if he will take a medicine vacay.
We are all super tired from a long day. Balto, our dog, definitely embodies how we all feel this evening.
Tomorrow is another day...
