FOTO FRIDAY: FF

FOTO FRIDAY this week is about a new experience in the Coulee region : FF not standing for Foto Friday/ Friends Forever but rather Frozen Fog technically known as "Rimes" frost which was around a good 3 days in some areas especially on the ridges.

Here's a dictionary definition:

Rimes: frost sense 1b. 2 : an accumulation of granular ice tufts on the windward sides of exposed objects that is formed from supercooled fog or cloud and built out directly against the wind. 3 : crust, incrustation

Take a look up through beyond our bare trees at our ridge line which is the tree line up to the ridge. Those aren't low clouds. Striking, right?

The effect was stunningly blinding especially on the times the sun shone.

It wasn't always so easy to capture the intricacy but I'm sure some of you will help me out with your pics

Below is a close up in the garden area.

Thanks for sharing your photos as some of you captured it!

Colleen will probably transform these into
oil paintings if you're interested...

Lori wrote " drove to Elmwood yesterday, down in a valley, with a dropped jaw."
