TBT: While back in the Coulee a couple of weeks ago, friend Lynn accompanied me to try a new eatery called Taquería Pato Azúl translated Blue Duck Taco Place.
The ambience is fun with bright colors and art that reminds one of Mexico in particular with brightly colored calavera(skull) paintings.
One of my favorites was the installation of different colored ropes.
My favorite pieces is the owner's artistic daughter's artwork rendering of Frida Kahlo, a Latin American Modernist, with a blue duck on her shoulder instead of the iconic monkey painting. Very clever.
The street tacos and noodles dishes were fresh and creative as well. Yum, yum.
If you are ever in La Crosse you should stop in and try it for yourself.
