I hit the jackpot when I joined the Happy Bookers, a book group in La Crosse where the members actually read the book so we can discuss it. They are the best.
For each read one member chooses 5-6 books which are summarized with each member able to cast 2 votes. Then the two highest receive one more vote and then we have our next book choice. We also rank each book read and say why before discussing them.
This next month the book is Black Cake. I only got to see a couple of the gals this visit but I did see almost all on Zoom last month. I love these gals.
Here we were 8 years ago.
Looking forward to Arkansas being one of the Happy Bookers next mini trips!
