I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM

During the time we enjoyed our car picnic lunch looking out onto what remains of Jersey Lake, three more cars arrived and we decided to head home and take a different route.

It was a gorgeous day and we weren't the only folks out enjoying it as Westby's BranchesVineyards parking lot was packed and not a mask in sight.  If there had been music, we could have stopped to listen from the parking lot but alas no such luck...

Farther down the road we spotted Nordic Creamery's sign and it was a joint agreement to take a detour to see what cheeses they had in stock and personally I was thinking an ice cream would be a special treat.  There was only one car in their lot but the locked dock had a message attached that due to COVID 19 their storefront was closed but orders could be placed on line.  Oh shucks, that squelched the possibility of savoring their delicious ice cream...
Natureman and our Kodak moment

But, all was not lost as we were able enjoy their pastoral panoramic country landscape views.

We returned home to the End of the Rainbow Valley sated with fresh air and sunshine from our mini road field trip. And we didn't have to click our heels to say, "There's no place like home..."
