Hail missed us three nights ago but the 65 mph winds ripped through the End of the Rainbow Valley carrying a 5 gallon water container to the other side of the driveway. Wouldn't you assume one's plantings are toast?
Unbelievably they all appeared unscathed. Then a day later when I looked out our kitchen window there in all its magnificence was the first of the dozen orange red poppy heads which had popped open. This beauty was meant to be my FOTO FRIDAY pic!
What a sight to behold!
