A BREATH...

I heard a radio interview yesterday where the guest said there is not time to take a 'breath,' that while there's momentum the Black Lives Matter movement must keep moving and breathing.   I get it with the realization that the breath Mr. Floyd needed is also what Covid 19 victims also need.  Breathing is crucial to human existence...

A complete stranger I met through Jazzercise's on line program sent an envelope of masks just because she wanted others to breathe better. How kind is that?  Natureman will be well equipped for his hospital day as there were 3 new cases of COVID 19 in La Crosse today. One wonders how many folks are out and about and have not been tested. Regardless, it was Natureman's big hospital scan day, we were going out.

Yep, it's been 3 months since the last one and since it'd be a long day, I made up a sack lunch to send with him and drove the boys in to 'town', dropping off the furry Balto first at doggie day care.

One thing has become apparent during the time in between scan days which is not worry free but anxiety does heighten around scan days. It's that unknown when good/bad will be revealed. After dropping off the boys and one stop, I returned home to tackle more of what used to be my art space above the garage. Might as well put that pent up energy somewhere. Somehow that space has taken on a life of its own as storage has overflowed on the floor space and has been demanding organization and decluttering for months. Before I knew it, time flew and it time to retrieve the boys.

Once a parking spot opened up within a bird's eye of the hospital's front doorway, it was a much shorter wait than anticipated as a tired looking Natureman ambled towards the car.  I couldn't judge from his demeanor how the consult had faired. He shared he had a couple hours in between the scan and consult so he had taken a walk.  Yet, it took us a block or two in the car before he asked if I'd like to know how the scan went. "Well, yeah!"

Weight was the same although he thought he had lost 3 pounds so that was a relief. At 146 lbs he doesn't need to lose any more. Blood pressure fine.

The Doc was thrilled that his kidney function is just a tad above  normal, better than ever and  the 2 little millimeter lung spots had not grown. Other suspicious areas seem to be calcifications from previous existing conditions. This all was great news.

We can take a breath.

After dinner Natureman was reinvigorated and decided to mow the orchard area as rain's expected, I returned to the upstairs clean up. Boy, that breath is appreciated...
