Assuming that the affair would really be latin time (not starting on the hour) I procrastinated going on time and unfortunately missed some of the musical entertainment by local musician Dan Sebranek (on guitar) accompanied by drumming, a friend of the Centro. How kind.

Brooke, Director inTraining (l) and Cameron, the Centro's director handed out certificates to all the volunteers besides receiving accolades themselves.
It's difficult to believe we have finished our first semester of English classes with both university students and community members that meet on Tuesdays in 2 locales and Friday evenings just at Centro Latino. Learning English is just one of the requests. There is childcare also provided on site so the parents can be in classes.
Dedicated volunteers lay the groundwork for fulfilling the latino community's needs as those needs arise ... You know Rome wasn't built in a day and as it is said, it takes a village. I am thankful to be in good company.
