A funny thing happened...

We have been laughing alot... sometimes in the moment, sometimes after. Family get togethers are just like that - So many comedians and sometimes not intentionally.

Don't ever trust a dishwashing crew that is staying in the kitchen too long... don't they look mischievous? BUT that's expected... here's some of the unexpected:

A funny thing happened en route to the Chinese restaurant. Ten minutes into the journey there came an expletive from the back seat as my Dad said ... "I forgot my teeth."

My Mom also has been supplying some really good one liners... and funny thing is that they have to do with her sight / lack of it. It feels good to be able to laugh with her...

A funny thing happened in the theater as the lights rose and we made our way out and Mom declares, " I just wish that they would turn on the lights." You should have seen the people around us look at her.

A funny thing happened one evening when my Dad tells my Mom to go get him a pair of blue socks. She replied: "And how do you think I'm going to find them? I'm blind."

A funny thing happened when my Dad said he had gained 3 pounds... Don't I look better? My Mom without missing a beat says: "You haven't ever looked better."

Heck yeah, We are going to relish these 'Oma'isms.

We even went out to eat as a group on 'Steven' at the Purple Cow. The funny part is that Steven didn't expect us all to go... Ha, ha but how could we pass up purple drinks? Thanks Steven. We had a really good time! Laugh on.
