2013 - Cliff jumping...

Wow...  it appears that 2013 doesn't seem to have made our legislators any wiser nor compassionate.

How can legislators  'politicize' a natural disaster with the denial of aid to Hurricane Sandy's victims/

or  block the Violence Against Women Act

AND yet approve the contract purchase of a special techno fighter jet fleet for a trillion dollars... ?

What I do know is my sadness and shock of these votes although what do I expect when my own state let our Governor Walker stay in office when they had the chance to recall him...

"In Wisconsin's last session collective bargaining rights for public employees was gutted ; one of the strictest voter ID bills in the nation signed; partially privatized the state Department of Commerce; undid mandatory sex education and put in place several abortion regulations; approved a concealed carry bill; passed a tort reform bill meant to deter lawsuits against companies; put strict limits on the ability of municipalities to raise property taxes; and approved a number of corporate tax breaks. Round 2 will include Conservatives steeper tax cuts for businesses and individuals; a "right to work" law to weaken unions in the private sector;  further expansion of voucher schools -- even if it means cutting more funding from public schools."
Is this really what the voters had in mind?
Shame on those that are supposed to be representing 'the people' both statewise and nationally.

We know who you are really representing... and it certainly isn't anybody here in the End of the Rainbow Valley.
