MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL..

Once we got to the wedding weekend our beauty regimen started. Off we went first thing Friday morning to take care of our nails at a super nice salon called Treat Your Nails. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating as we filled their pedicure room.

Bride to Be is already glowing...
Bride Lori OK'ed any nail color for all of us and the flower girls were pros as they chose their colors with some fluorescent colors included. The salon even gave them tiaras to wear. Princess status indeed. The salon had set up a table for bubbly and chocolates... I was devastated to find out my old photo card ate my pics of the wonderful toast by Robin, Lori's traveling bud, and of all the girls getting their nails done but rest assured, we were all enjoying the hand/foot massages. (Thanks Rachelle, Matron of Honor for sharing these two pics of the flower girls and our Bride to Be.) And I had a new photo card with me for the rest of the festivities...
Bride's invite to beauty services & time arrived via mail
Wedding beautification has become a huge industry as beauty professionals even travel on weekends to the venues for hair/makeup services for not only the bride but the groom as well along with bridesmaids & groomsmen. We all were the recipients of makeup/ hair courtesy of our Bride Saturday am.

I opted out of hair (as what can you do to curly hair?) but figured this might be my only time to don false eyelashes... It was quite an experience as this MOB (Mother of the Bride) isn't used to getting to the salon much less wearing makeup.

Lori had thought of everything and gifted the MOB & Bonus Mom/Mother of the Groom and Matron of Honor, special long sleeved cotton white shirts with monogramed pockets for makeup for the  wedding day.

We filled the make-up and hair artist chairs from 8:30am until 2pm...

I haven't seen Cere since her wedding.

Primping time also allowed us time to visit and get to know each other better as Lori's bridal party consisted of high school, college (both undergrad & grad), work and extracurricular friends that came from all over the U. S. and her friend Elisa made the trip across the big pond from Norway no less!

States represented in this pic TN, GA, NY, IA, FLA & CA
Family and friends stopped by the bridal suite too.
Lori's Aunt Terri and niece Becky (AR)
came for a hug...
Alyssa (Lori's Milwaukee high school bud)
lives now in Chicago
Personalized flutes
Two of Lori's teacher friends brought us a wonderful brunch of salads and mini quiches and croissants. Leave it to teachers as they even decorated champagne flutes with mr & mrs with the date.
Kara(L) &Desiree(far R) treated us all to brunch
Special delivery just in time by the groomsmen with the drinks.

The Dance Party began...
There was a special presentation by bridesmaids Eva & Jessica of huge gold earrings with the words Apple Bottom that started a dance party with Apple Bottom Jeans. How did she know to wear her red jeans that day? Hmmmm.

Before we knew it was time to get dressed... that's tomorrow's entry from Wedding Party Central. Meanwhile just imagine the dance party to Apple Bottom Jeans.

  2. What a great wedding. I love the beautification process for those little girls...they had to be walking on air from all the attention, not to mention the chocolate.
