Making a Difference in Someone's Smile

Although due to needing to be in Iowa this past weekend I didn't get to volunteer interpret this year at MOM, Mission of Mercy, WDA's Wisconsin's State's Free Dental Clinic, I was thrilled to read about their successful clinic days in Fond du Lac and wanted to share their statistics with you.

MOM 2015 Fond du Lac :

The Dental Mission of Mercy (MOM) served 1,304 children and adults during 1,428 patient visits and valued at $1,029,800.
A total of 4,924 dental procedures were performed during the two-day clinic, including:
843 X-rays
1,316 fillings
1,069 teeth pulled
591 cleanings
634 sealant/fluoride treatments
30 root canals and therapeutic pulpotomies
Several dental labs worked with volunteer technicians to create 161 full and partial dentures.
Patients also received one-on-one oral hygiene instruction.

The need is ongoing and I am so appreciative of all the donors and volunteers to make all this happen.

Marissa and her husband are 2 of the many who give of their time and skills annually.
As you can read so are the recipients of this wonderful service.

May the good work continue because it certainly is needed. I will definitely be back to work in June 2016 and it will even be a bit closer to home. Stay tuned...

*  Gracias a Marissa por las fotos.
