Are You in the Dark?

If you live in Wisconsin you may have noticed that it's dark by 4:30pm...
Outside view late afternoon... Even our solar lights didn't get enough light...
Well at least it is here in the End of the Rainbow Valley.  With no city lights/ neighbors, it can be very dark.  BUT, there's something just plain wrong about the darkness phenomena before 6 pm.  Daylight Savings Time must be as stingy with sunlight as some politicians are with governmental monies/ our politicians are 'in the dark' as far as understanding what it means to not have enough money to live day to day, much less to be able to receive what 'all' in this country are entitled to - food to eat, a roof over one's head and healthcare.

It's been quite a year in Wisconsin and I have to say many have provided me with light bulb moments. My daily heroes now include people telling it like it is, TV personalities such as Bill Moyers, Rachel Maddow, John Daly, Stephen Colbert along with writers like Paul Krugman and John Nichols/teachers like  my newest hero, Henry Giroux, http://billmoyers.com/segment/henry-giroux-on-zombie-politics/ civil servants like Elizabeth Warren, etc... all who clarify issues so we can all understand them... bringing light to subjects such as the economy, minimum wage, education and vouchers, voter registration, immigration, unions, healthcare, budget cutting and of course, the government shutdown...

We don't have to stay in the dark. We can read, listen and ask... and above all else when informed, we can light at least one candle and 'enlighten' others... Only then can we shed light on some very important issues and not be lost in the dark. I've got a match, do you need one?

As the lyrics say This little light of mine I 'm going to let it shine... Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
